I decided on one book that is sort of a stretch regarding your suggested guidelines. I am going to read Gold by Chris Cleave, which is a fictional story about two female cyclists training for the London 2012 olympics. I think it works because we went to some games in London last week. That's sort of a book pilgrimage, right? I had hoped to get the book before I left for London so I could read it while I was there, but again, that never happened. Hoping to start it next week. :)

How is everyone else doing with their Book Pilgrimage?Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00420773211895134710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1342623555220583614.post-75062426264347516562012-05-11T10:34:31.121-04:002012-05-11T10:34:31.121-04:00Thanks, Christine, and don't feel bad. I think that it is really common for people to not visit destinations in their own areas.

If you do go to the Cloisters, try to read King of the Confessors first! I have lived in this area all my life [I'm 43!] and have only been to the Met ONCE! ... and it was so long ago that I barely remember! How embarrassing! I promise you I will try to remedy that sooner rather than later.

As for "The Cloisters"--I know where that is and think one of my daughters may have gone their on a school field trip. It is a popular field trip destination for schools around here but again, I'm ashamed to admit I have not been their either! It's less than an hour from where I live and maybe only 30min from where I grew up! Isn't that horrible? I'm going to suggest this as a family outing to my family this summer.

Thanks for your help and motivation, Libby! I hope you're able to visit the area someday soon and check it off your bucket list!Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00420773211895134710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1342623555220583614.post-21207067080142901702012-05-11T10:13:22.101-04:002012-05-11T10:13:22.101-04:00Wow, Libby, you sure know your stuff!
